SEMO SALHA
Actor/2nd AD
Semo Salha played a key role in bringing the character’s journeys in Shout to the Sea to life on the screen. He brought his instinct and professionalism to the forefront while working on this production as an actor and 2nd AD.
Semo is originally from Syria and is currently seeking representation. He has lived in Manchester since 2001 and is now a British citizen.
Semo is currently filming a movie with Netflix in Turkey and Belgium
Semo was a lecturer at the University of Manchester for 5 years and was studying towards a PhD in Media and Politics.
He has been studying acting with Act4tv Manchester since 2018 and I has two plays and three independent films under his belt.
Semo speaks English and Arabic including standard Arabic, Syrian, Lebanese, Egyptian and Tunisian accents.

Sarah England was responsible for a wide variety of elements during the filming and production of Shout to the Sea, with their versatility and proficiency on full display; from pre-production all the way through the release.

Sandy randomly meets Lee whilst he’s hitchhiking to Blackpool. Do they reach their destination or is it the end of the road for them? A moving short film with a northern heart about grief, hope and how chance encounters and cross cultures can shape our lives.
